Key appointment as investment firm snaps up ex-Man City chairman

Open equity property investment platform Cogress has announced the appointment of well-known business magnate David Bernstein CBE to its advisory board.

Bernstein, who is currently chairman of Ted Baker Plc, has formerly held positions as chairman of Manchester City Football Club and the Football Association.

The appointment is effective from today and Bernstein will be tasked with enhancing the company's investment opportunities and investor community. 

He joins Cogress' other high profile board members Lord Mendelsohn, Partner at Oakvale Capital LLP, and Lord Polak CBE. 

Since launch in 2014, Cogress says it has built a community of 2,000 qualified investors, all of whom are given the opportunity to invest as little as £20,000 in £10 million+ properties. 

The firm now has a portfolio of 29 UK investments with a Gross Development Value in excess of £500m and an average expected annual return of 21%+ on current UK investments.
