Home of politics gets new luxury development

A new luxury riverfront development in Westminster is now on the market with prices starting from £1.25 million.

Marketed by estate agents Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Kay & Co, the Riverwalk development, which sits upon the north bank of the Thames, comprises 116 high-spec apartments and ‘boasts curvaceous Stanton Williams architectural designs to create a refreshing juxtaposition of old meets new’.

The development offers exclusive private facilities for residents, such as a fitness suite and yoga studio overlooking the Thames, concierge services, secure underground parking, valet parking and 24-hour security.

Meanwhile, the aim is for each apartment to be enhanced by the ‘state-of-the-art’ comfort cooling system in the bedrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows to provide panoramic views of the capital.

With over 420 listed buildings, Westminster is fast becoming a sought-after location for modern luxury apartments, making up 93% of sales in the SW1 postcode.

That is according to Martin Bikhit, property expert and managing director of the agency. He believes that Westminster has never been more exciting as a property hotspot; in the last three months alone, individual apartment sales have topped-out at £4.25 million on Carlisle Place.

He adds: “Westminster has been transformed over the last five years with new bars, boutiques and modern buildings across Victoria, Pimlico and Westminster. And whilst Westminster might be associated with the iconic Georgian terraces of Downing street, there are also dynamic, refreshing and invigorating new developments which could not be more different from the so-called Westminster Bubble.”

“We are excited to be ringing the bells of change in bringing new life into the area with these striking new apartments.”
