Our company was founded thirty-four years ago, in 1983, by the eponymous Edward Mellor with a single estate agency in Reddish. Mr Mellor senior still maintains a keen interest in the company’s burgeoning development, whilst his son, Colin Mellor, is now our Chief Executive, working alongside Managing Director, Peter Barlow.
In 2004 we opened our landmark headquarters in Stockport to house all of our centralised services, and today Edward Mellor boasts a ten branch estate agency network throughout Tameside, Stockport and Greater Manchester as well as the North West’s leading property auction house. Add to this fully integrated financial services, planning, conveyancing and surveying businesses as well as property management and property development, so Edward Mellor in 2017 is an innovative and cutting-edge property group employing over 120 staff.
