Free landlord and property investor event comes to London this October

Investors, landlords and property enthusiasts will descend on London’s ExCel on October 7 and 8 for the annual Property Investor & Homebuyer Show, which is free to attend.

After a busy year in the buy-to-let sector, this year’s event is a must-visit for those with an interest in the rental and lettings industry.

Visitors will be able to attend seminars and stands covering all the biggest industry issues from the stamp duty surcharge and buy-to-let tax changes, to Brexit and its impact on the Private Rented Sector.

Buy-to-Let Tax Changes

Those interested in the latest developments of the campaign against incoming changes to the way landlords can claim buy-to-let mortgage interest tax relief can visit Axe the Tenant Tax at stand 368.

The non-for-profit, volunteer-led campaign will be holding ‘Tenant Tax’ debates on both days of the event.

Brexit and the EU referendum

Over three months on from the historic vote in June, we still await the triggering of Article 50 which will start the UK’s formal exit from the European Union.

But what effect has all this had on our industry? The Property Investor & Homebuyer Show’s international partner Guides.Global will be holding a Brexit debate on both days at the Excel.

What’s more, visitors can absorb a range of views on the referendum and its impact at the exhibition stands and in the seminar theatres dotted around the event.

Property Overseas

Those looking at property beyond the UK can meet a broad selection of companies at the event weekend – exhibitors presenting investment options from a list of countries that includes the USA, Spain, Cyprus, France, Nigeria, Hungary, Romania, Germany and Ireland.

Landlord Today and Property Investor Today

If you’re planning on heading to London ExCeL for the event, do stop by at the Angels Media (publisher of Landlord Today and Property Investor Today) stand – number 4, near the main entrance – and say hello to our team. We’ll be delighted to see you!

A quick look at the event website confirms that the exhibitor ranks will also include a broad mix of investment types – with a particular spotlight being thrown on both high-yielding HMO Property and the burgeoning PropTech sector.

Other exhibitors in the hall include specialist lenders, furnishings firms, insurers, auction houses, tax specialists, lawyers, tenancy deposit schemes, landlord/tenant services and crowd funders – a mix indicative of a diverse and healthy sector.

A diary fixture since the late 80’s, this is the benchmark event for the residential sector – and the largest networking hub that the industry has to offer.

The event and all seminars are free to enter, however all visitors are required to register before entering the hall.

To avoid the queues on visit day, the recommended option is to register online – click here.
