US property investment firm CityR has announced the appointment of former professional footballer and well-known property investor Robbie Fowler as an ambassador for the business in the UK.

Fowler’s property portfolio is thought to be worth over £30m, and he has teamed up with CityR to offer his insight for their new publication, ‘The 10% Report’, which explains how CityR can deliver returns of around 10% for investors.

Fowler’s property career - which started with properties in the North West of London - has expanded to a global investment portfolio in multiple countries.

The ex-Liverpool man joins Robert Reid, Chartered Financial Planner and Investment Adviser at bespoke financial planning firm Syndaxi, as one of CityR’s UK experts.

Ron Szekely, Founder of CityR said of the appointment: “Robbie is almost as well known for his property investing as his football career, so having him join our team is great news for us. We are opening up the US property market to UK investors allowing them to receive fantastic yields specifically in today’s economy when the dollar is week, the property prices in the UK have exhausted their increase and interest rates are in record's low. Having someone like Robbie on board, who knows what British property investors want, will be invaluable.”

Fowler himself added: “I know that for many people property is seen as one of the safest investments; it’s tangible, it tends to be less affected by stock market fluctuations and it has the added benefit of both a strong yield and the potential of capital appreciation.”

“When I first heard about CityR, the model really interested me so I look forward to introducing more people to the investment possibilities they are offering. It’s an exciting time to be involved with the business.”
