A new Penthouse show apartment has launched at the world’s largest brick-built warehouse, Tobacco Warehouse, in Liverpool.
Standing beside Stanley Dock in Liverpool’s historic docks quarter, the uber cool urban pad was made possible by the addition of a new upper level to the Grade II Listed Tobacco Warehouse.
The show home is one of nine penthouse apartments located on the upper most floor of the landmark building, each benefitting from a large full length private roof terrace, discreetly located behind the original building’s parapet, with views of the city, the Mersey or, the Titanic Hotel Liverpool and the new Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.
The spectacular 14-storey Tobacco Warehouse structure was built 1898-1901 and designed by architect A. G. Lyster to accommodate the large bales of tobacco that were shipped from around the world.
The new penthouses atTobacco Warehouse are part of an exciting scheme that when complete will see the record-breaking structure deliver over 550 loft and penthouse style homes, 100,000 sq. ft. of dock-level commercial space and become the centre piece of the wider Stanley Dock regeneration area.
The principal rooms of the Penthouse are all orientated outwards, looking on to the terrace and original red brick parapet, each flooded with natural daylight.
The Victorian bricks of Tobacco Warehouse, visible from each room, provide a visual and textural theme throughout the Penthouse, bridging contemporary design within a heritage context.
Replica brick detail has been used on the rear feature wall and pillar facings of the reception, on accent pillars in both bedrooms, and on the dominant wall the second bedroom.
The Tobacco Warehouse Penthouse show apartment is for sale at £490,000, excluding furniture.
Penthouse apartments at Tobacco Warehouse are available from £430,000, with the duplex apartments in the building also for sale from £375,000.
