A group of surveyors have launched a new online platform created exclusively for commercial property listings.

The portal, Go To Commercial, has launched with over 1,100 commercial property listings from agents across Yorkshire, spanning office, retail and industrial space, as well as investment and development opportunities.

The surveyors behind the platform say their creation aims to address two problems:

  • The rising costs and long term contracts found in existing portals, and
  • The absence of a single, user-friendly destination for commercial property listings.

Listings on the platform are provided by experienced commercial property agencies including Carter Towler, Michael Steel & co, Walker Singleton, Mark Brearley & Co, Bramleys, Holder and Co, Dacres Commercial, Adair Paxton, Smiths Chartered surveyors, Holroyd Miller, Metcalf Commercial, Woodheads, Harvey Burns & co, and Atkinson Associates.

Andrew Steel, founder of Go To Commercial and partner at Leeds-based surveying firm Michael Steel & Co, says: “The platform grew out of conversations we were having with other agents about the frustrations of using existing portals.

“There was a clear gap in the market for a platform built specifically around commercial property, rather than trying to adapt systems designed for residential use.

“The focus has been on creating something practical, intuitive and genuinely useful for the industry.”

The creators say their portal’s robust backend database captures data from each listing, and offers the potential for enhanced market intelligence as the network agents continues to expand.
