A one-of-a-kind 4,000 sq ft penthouse overlooking Regent’s Park has sold in a deal close to its guide price of £7.5 million, bought by an investor seeking a statement London address.

The sale is part of £30 million worth of completions by the prime Central London branch of Anderson Rose in the past year and comes in a record quarter for the independent estate agency.

High-end investors have also purchased the former 4-bedroom home of revered designer Veere Grenney on Portsea Place, an impressive lateral apartment in Bayswater and a two-bedroom apartment on Marylebone High Street for over the original asking price.

Correct pricing attracts buyers

Scott Joseph, head of prime Central London at Anderson Rose, says correct pricing has helped deliver results at the high end. “Despite the uncertainty and caution across the market, we are seeing surges of activity when properties are priced correctly. A number of the homes we have available are priced competitively and, we believe, correctly in the current climate, and this has led to a record run of sales.”

He continues: “Securing over £30 million of completions, with £10 million worth of property under offer, is testament to the fact that when the price is right there are willing buyers out there.”
