An agency is restoring physical ‘back in the room’ property auctions for the first time since 2020, when they stopped because of the pandemic.

Dawsons is continuing some online auctions but is holding a physical auction for the first time in five years on Wednesday March 5 in Swansea.

A statement from the agency says that over recent years, virtual auctions have allowed it to serve clients but it insists :there’s no substitute for the buzz of a live auction where the atmosphere, real-time competition, and personal interactions create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.”

The agency’s auction department is being rebadged as Dawsons Auction House.

Auction house manager David Parton comments:“With a history dating back to 1992, Dawsons has a legacy of excellence in the auction world, and I am excited to contribute to its continued success and growth in the years ahead.

“Another key factor that makes Dawsons stand out is our auctioneer, James Dawson. James has been at the helm of our auctions since 2005, and his experience and expertise are second to none. His dynamic presence in the room, combined with his deep understanding of the market, has earned him the respect and trust of clients far and wide.

“Dawsons Auction House has been an integral part of the auction scene since 1992, and I am proud to be managing such an esteemed institution. With a strong team behind me, exciting plans on the horizon, and a heritage built on trust and professionalism, I am confident that we are poised for even greater success in the future.”
