High profile Spanish resort offers new apartments to investors

La Manga - a 3,000 acre resort at Murcia in south east Spain - is offering apartments for sale with the description that they are not just holiday homes but lucrative assets too.

When compared to other European countries, Spain's combination of lifestyle appeal, investment incentives, and market dynamics creates a unique and attractive proposition for foreign investors. The potential for capital appreciation, strong rental demand, and a supportive environment for investors contribute to making Spain an excellent choice for real estate investment at this time.

Las Orquídeas Apartments are of course next to La Manga’s famous world-class amenities including golf courses, tennis courts, and spa facilities. But they also claim to offer a promised premium rental yield of €18,000-plus annually with full-service professional management by Resort Sales & Management.

Starting prices for the Las Orquídeas apartments are from €365,000 and for the Las Acacias plots €195,500. Purchasers of these units will receive discounts within the resort including on the golf courses, the Grand Hyatt hotel, spa and restaurants.

The team behind the apartments claim the attractiveness of Spain for foreign investment in real estate is back at a high.

They say foreigners constitute nearly 45 per cent of the population in Spanish coastal areas, with foreign property sales in 2022 accounting for 15.92 per cent of total purchases. This demand has stimulated the real estate market and construction industry along the coast.

Spain's affordability, profitable investment opportunities, and advantages like the Spanish Golden Visa scheme enhance its appeal, they suggest. The Golden Visa offers residency, enabling investors to live, work and travel visa-free within the Schengen Zone, making Spain particularly attractive to non-EU investors such as those from Brexit Britain.

Spain also has the largest network of highways and motorways in the EU, claims to possess the third most extensive high-speed rail network in the world, and has 50 airports, most with direct international connections. For those wanting to work from home, from Spain, ultrafast broadband covers 87 per cent of the country.

Some 17.3m Britons holidayed in Spain in 2023, some 18.7 per cent higher than in 2022 when Covid still affected travel.
