Outside the capital, lots range from Tyne and Wear in the north, to Brighton in the south and from Hereford in the west to Bexhill on Sea in the east.

Two boutique hotels are on offer in South Shields along with a vacant property with planning permission for four flats in Sunderland. A flying freehold is available in a former place of worship in Hereford and five lots of vintage public telephone boxes in Brighton are also open for bids.

Strettons Auction Director Andrew Brown commented: “We’ve got a real variety of residential and commercial opportunities in our latest catalogue to kick off the New Year. We’re seeing a rise in people choosing auction as a quick and reliable way of moving their properties on and getting the returns they are looking for.

“From a former congregational meeting hall in Hereford, a warehouse/office unit in Sheffield, a mixed use scheme in a former chip shop in Middlesex, through to residential freeholds with planning permission for multiple flats in a variety of locations up and down the country, there is something to pique interest for all budgets and bidders.”

The February sale will be live streamed and registered bidders will be sent a link before the auction starts to place remote bids. All legal packs can be viewed on Strettons’ website in advance and the registration process is fully automated online.
