Two experts on Spanish property have come together to launch a Spanish property podcast.

Sean Woolley from Cloud Nine Spain and Mark Stücklin from Spanish Property Insight have joined forces to share information and insight into the Spanish property market – one of the most popular locations for British overseas buyers.

The Inside Track podcast will see Woolley providing his on-the-ground experience of what he’s seeing on the Costa del Sol and how buyers are responding, while Stücklin will be contributing statistics, market data and up-to-date information.

“What we’re trying to do is have a monthly get-together, where we can talk about the Spanish property market from different perspectives,” Woolley said.

“I’ll be coming at it more from an anecdotal, evidential point of view in terms of what’s happening here. Mark will be using his years of experience of data collection and telling our listeners what’s happening from the “facts and figures” side of things. It’ll be really interesting to see if his version of the Spanish market marries up to what we’re seeing locally.”

He added: “Our monthly chats will also enable us to unpick the news and the trends being reported and get to the bottom of them for our viewers.”

Woolley has been doing quarterly market updates on Cloud Nine Spain’s YouTube channel since November 2020, based on anecdotal evidence, gut feeling, what he’s hearing about the market in general in the Marbella area, ‘and of course our experience with enquiries, interest and sales’.

“But it’s very difficult to say that is backed up by the data, so with this podcast we’re delighted to have Mark to bring in the data which he’s collated and analysed, to provide powerful information and insights,” he continues.

“In our new podcast we’re going to be looking at the effects of different things that have happened, Covid, Brexit etc, the state of the market in general, and making reasoned predictions to help inform the investment decisions of our listeners.”

“Our plan is to point buyers and sellers in the right direction, being open, transparent and honest, combining data and real experience. In December we’ll be reviewing the year so far and what’s in store for 2023. That will be available on the Cloud Nine YouTube channel in mid-December.”

Stücklin adds: “I set up Spanish Property Insight in 2004 to provide good-quality, reliable information in English, on costs, risks, issues, and the process of buying and selling property in Spain. For many years now I’ve been analysing the housing market data that’s available from public sources, and I’ve spent the last six months bringing it all together into a data hub that makes it easier to follow the market.”

“Timing the launch of this podcast with the introduction of SPI’s new data hub offers the perfect conditions for comparing the figures that I now have at my fingertips with Sean’s experience on the frontline of the Costa del Sol’s property market.”

You can subscribe to the Cloud Nine Spain YouTube channel to be notified when new episodes are released and submit questions and topics you’d like to see covered.

The next episode is due out mid-December and will be a review of the year and predictions of what’s in store for 2023. You can see Woolley introducing the podcast here.
