SDL Property Auctions have shared impressive results regarding a range of property opportunities that went under the hammer in September.

Managing Director and Auctioneer Andrew Parker said: “We continue to see strong appetite for properties that have the potential to add value, especially in popular residential locations such as this. While the property is certainly in need of some improvement, comparable properties on the street have undergone similar schemes of work and are now beautiful homes and I’m sure this will follow.”

Residential and commercial properties generate interest

In Altrincham, Manchester a three-bedroomed semi-detached property recently sold. Despite the need for a full renovation and upgrade, with a guide price of £225,000 plus fees the property sold for £356,000.

The former Worthington Methodist Church in Leicestershire was for sale in partnership with Gadsby Nichols. It had a guide price of just £10,000 plus fees and sold for £61,500 on auction day. The buyer will also benefit from immediate vacant possession once complete.

62 Ridge Grove in Stourbridge is a three-bedroomed, semi-detached property. Although in need of some modernisation and refurbishment, the property has gas central heating, UPVC windows, and substantial front and rear gardens. The property sold for £140,000 from its guide price of £70,000+ plus fees.

A large end terraced property featuring four bedrooms and three reception rooms was also up for grabs. 75 Church Street in Worksop would make an ideal buy-to-let investment. Sold in partnership with Pinewood Properties, this was offered at a guide price of £68,000+ plus fees and sold for £105,000.

70 High Holme Road in Lincolnshire, which was sold in partnership with John Taylors for £98,500.This Victorian end terrace with a lounge, kitchen, two bedrooms, and bathroom has a guide price of £90,000+ plus fees.

Andrew continued: “We’re proud to remain one of the few property auctioneers in the UK who are able to offer sale types to suit all of our customers, regardless of their needs. Regardless of the market conditions, there will always be those who need to sell their property for whatever reason, and we are proud to be able to offer swift, safe and secure sales 24/7, 365 days a year.”

October’s National Property Auction will take place on Thursday 27th October.
