Residential and commercial estate and letting agents in Sussex, Michael Jones Commercial, have been given the title as as sole agents on the new 3Ts’ Royal Sussex County Hospital development in Brighton.

The development which has taken over a decade to plan and deliver will open in November 2022 and a formal opening is scheduled to take place in 2023.

All about the historic hospital development

The £500,000,000 development will open doors to over 1,00,000 patients, staff, and visitors yearly and there will be over 40 wards and departments once complete.

In October 2020 the Prime Minister announced that 40 new hospitals aim to be built by 2030. The development instructed by University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust forms part of this target.

The three spaces in which Michael Jones Commercial is assisting the Trust are spaces A, B, and C.

Space A will prove a missed retail space for food and ancillary goods. This will cover 1,312 square feet on Level One, with access to Eastern Road. More information can be found here

Space B will be on Level One there will be a takeaway food/coffee shop with a small front servery area and a large kitchen and store. This will cover 1,013 square feet and more details are available about this section of the development here

Space B will be located on Level Six. This too will have café premises but will overlook views of the sea. More details about the space that will cover more than 1,600 square feet can be found here

Jon Justice, commercial director at Michael Jones explains: “We are extremely proud to be selected as Agents on this iconic and historic development. The 3Ts development will provide the best in modern healthcare and will place the hospital at the heart of acute care in Sussex. We are looking forward to working on behalf of the Trust in finding suitable end users for the spaces available”.
