Work on a residential scheme in Oxfordshire is ready to begin this month. The scheme will be led by property developer Taggart Homes and is scheduled for completion in 12 months.

Warren Private, a €3 billion Dublin based real estate investor, alongside Downing LLP, a London investment management service, are the funding partners for the £8 million building.

What the Oxfordshire development has to offer

The area in which the development will be located is on the leafy Didcot Road in Harwell, nestled between the popular Didcot Grove and Alder View housing developments.

Commuters can arrive in London by train in just 40 minutes. the M4 and M40 motorway corridors can also be accessed easily. Cotswolds and Chiltern Hills, two striking areas known for outstanding natural beauty, are also nearby.

A mixture of two, three, four and five-bed properties with high specification fixtures and fittings and landscaped gardens will be provided once complete. The target market includes first-time buyers, downsizers and families.

Chief executive officer of Taggart Homes, Michael Taggart, said: “This new development in Didcot will bring high quality and attractive homes to the area. Didcot is ideally positioned for commuters and offers professionals a perfect work-life balance – with easy reach to central London and areas of outstanding natural beauty.”

“Following the success of our development in nearby Carterton which proved extremely popular, we are keen to build more homes within the Oxfordshire area and within the London commuter belt. The development will offer a range of properties to suit all budgets – with high spec fixtures and fittings, quality materials and attention to detail remaining paramount.”

“I would like to thank Warren Private for its diligence and expertise in providing the investment funding for this project. I look forward to our ongoing engagement with this excellent joint venture partner.”

“We are delighted that works are starting on this exciting development and look forward to seeing these high-quality homes take shape.”
