One Bishopsgate Plaza, the tallest residential and hospitality tower in London, launched The Sky Residences last week. Stanhope was appointed as development manager while UOL is behind the scheme.
The mixed-use development is the first of its kind to combine private ownership with a luxury hotel all under one roof.
Rian Strauss, an associate in the city and east new homes team at Knight Frank, explains: “One Bishopsgate Plaza is a totally unique offering for the City of London. The development is pioneering a future need for homes in London’s business and financial epicentre and supporting the return of city life and the buoyancy of London as a global business hub, following the pandemic.”
“The launch this September gives buyers a rare opportunity to purchase property in the City’s only residential development that is linked to a luxury hotel. With an unparalleled focus on quality, high-specification homes and amenities, there is really no other development quite like One Bishopsgate Plaza in the City – or indeed London.”
What One Bishopsgate Plaza has to offer
Whether hoping to purchase a privately owned home or stay at a hotel for a change of scenery, One Bishopsgate Plaza aims to offer something for everyone.
Located on top of Pan Pacific hotel are 160 residential one, two, and three-bedroom private apartments. Each apartment within the 43-storey landmark contains a hotel suite and depending on which side the room is located residents can enjoy a unique view of the River Thames, Tower Bridge, The Gherkin, or St Paul’s Cathedral.
À la carte services that offer Singaporean hospitality and exclusive access to five levels of hotel amenities are also available for prospective buyers.
Pan Pacific Hotel London includes a floor devoted to holistic wellness that guests can enjoy. Residents of The Sky Residences can access an 18.5 metre infinity swimming pool and a technologically advanced gym.
Ed Lewis, head of London residential development sales at Savills, adds: “One Bishopsgate Plaza plugs a gap in the residential offer in the City of London. Sitting high above the city’s bustling streets, apartments here will give residents a sanctuary, access to fantastic hotel amenities, whether food and beverage, or business and leisure coupled with exciting views over the London skyline. Early buyers have been quick to recognise these unique attributes and have seized the opportunity to acquire a home unlikely to be replicated in this vibrant location.”
The London location
With Singaporean-owned UOL behind the scheme, One Bishopsgate Plaza draws a lot of inspiration from Southeast Asia.
Yabu Pushelberg infused south-east Asian culture with traditional British design when designing the interior for the hotel. A blend of Singaporean and British cuisine is available at Straits Kitchen, too.
The development is only a two-minute walk away from Liverpool Street Underground Station, allowing guests to quickly travel using public transport to get to the West End.
There is plenty for residents and guests to do as popular destinations including Barbican Centre, Guildhall Art Gallery, and the Museum of London are nearby.
