After a hiatus of nearly two years, where shows had to take place virtually instead, the National Landlord Investment Show says it’s delighted to be returning to live shows from next month.
It returns to Manchester United FC’s famous Old Trafford ground – nicknamed the Theatre of Dreams – on October 12 for the first live event since 2019, before moving onto its national event in London on October 26 at Old Billingsgate.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be returning to Old Trafford, Manchester for our first live event in nearly two years. Not only is this our seventh return to Manchester United Football Club, but also marks our 70th live show since our inception in 2013,” the show’s founder, Tracey Hanbury, said.
The National Landlord Investment Show is the UK’s leading landlord and property investment exhibition, and its shows aim to connect thousands of property professionals throughout the UK. They are described as a beacon for anyone with an interest in buy-to-let or the private rented sector.
“We offer the opportunity to meet exhibitors and discuss your needs, browse the superb products and services on offer, network and watch excellent seminars by leading industry experts,” Hanbury added.
This year, NLIS are delighted to have exhibitors from Manchester and the North West which include: Legal Advice, Finance Suppliers, Investment Opportunities, Insurance, Tax Experts, Property Management, Education & Mentoring, Latest PropTech, Furnishings/Decor and a ‘myriad other helpful services’, all under one roof.
“Attendees will find an extensive spread of exhibitors at the show and, with the property market remaining buoyant, there’s no time like now to get involved,” Hanbury continued.
Showgoers can attend up to 25 seminars on the day, including panel debates with property experts covering every aspect of the private rented sector.
National Show, London, Old Billingsgate, October 26
The show is excited to hold their 71st edition at a new London venue – ‘the exceptional Old Billingsgate’, which is located at the riverside of London Bridge.
“The venue is extremely impressive and will bring much to the event including fantastic train and tube lines directly into London Bridge and city tube stations which are all within walking distance,” Hanbury said.
“Over 70+ exhibitors will be on hand for you to meet, network and do business with. In addition, the show boasts over 50 expert speakers and has added three unique and unmissable features.”
This includes the UK’s largest panel debate on the impact of Covid and Brexit on the UK property market, chaired by political TV host and former newspaper editor Andrew Neil. The panel members will include representation from the NRLA, Chris Bailey from Less Tax for Landlords, David Smith, the economics editor from The Sunday Times, and others who will be announced shortly.
There will also be the Property Elevator. Chaired by John Howard, the Property Elevator Angels will be considering pitches from budding property developers who want the chance to partner with seasoned property professionals.
Members of the Property Elevator panel include John Howard (Chair Angel), Helen Chorley, Property Expert, Nicholas Wallwork, Property Expert & CEO of Property Forum, Paul Mahoney, Founder & CEO of Nova Financial Group, and Ranjan Bhattacharya, Property Expert.
Lastly, there is Property Summit presents, chaired by Hanbury herself. This will focus on Property Development vs Rental – Risk & Reward. Property Summits brings together five of the most respected, highly skilled and experienced names in the property industry, with a combined 100-plus years of experience in property investment, development, finance, tax and succession planning.
This panel will discuss and contrast the benefits and risks associated with developing property versus buying buy-to-let property,
“We are absolutely thrilled to be staging live shows again. We had fantastic success with our digital events during lockdown, however, the property sector thrives on face-to-face interactions,” Hanbury insisted.
“Our Manchester show on October 12 will mark our 70th live exhibition since our inception in 2013. As always it is a great pleasure to have the Manchester Chamber of Commerce support the show and take a stand on the day! Registrations are flying in, which shows a huge appetite for live shows again. We cannot wait to see you in person in October.”
Paul Mahoney, chief executive at Nova Financial and a main sponsor of the event, added: “We have exhibited at all the live shows since 2013 and also sponsored the online events during the pandemic and I am delighted to say the shows have gone from strength to strength.
“We have increased our presence at all events and are delighted to be Main Sponsor for the upcoming Manchester & London shows. These events are unmissable for any UK landlord, me and my team cannot wait to be part of the events again and to meet you once again face-to-face.
Reece Mennie from HJ Collection also commented: “Having exhibited at the National Landlord Investment shows over the last few years both in person, and online, it was routine that we would be returning for the October 2021 events. The team are looking forward to attending live events again, and what better way to network with like-minded individuals at this year’s Manchester and London events.”
He added: “We find the events a great way to present our companies in a professional manner, whilst building up our brand and getting in front of potential clients to make them aware of our services and how we can help them. We can’t want to get going again next month.”
Registration to the events is totally free. Anyone looking to attend can book their place by clicking here to get their tickets.
