Show and tell: One Park Drive show apartments launched

Canary Wharf Group has launched the first three in-situ show apartments at One Park Drive, Wood Wharf’s tallest residential building.

The development marks the first UK residential tower designed by the 'world-renowned' architects Herzog & de Meuron, famed for the Tate Modern gallery and Beijing’s Olympic National Stadium (also known as the Bird's Nest).

Each show apartment – consisting of three core typologies: the Bay, the Cluster and the Loft – have been ‘luxuriously’ designed by two interior design firms. The Bay and Cluster typologies have been designed by Goddard Littlefair, while the Loft interiors are by Bowler James Brindley.

Set to relaunch onto the market, prices for the remaining apartments start from £840,000.

Brian De’ath, director of residential sales at Canary Wharf Group, comments: “The three show apartments available to view perfectly represent the three typologies that are so clearly observed in the geometric exterior architecture of the building. The interiors of the three show apartments are really impressive and include plush contemporary designs that complement the striking One Park Drive and showcase the views across London.”

Situated on floors two to nine, the Loft apartments feature wraparound terraces framed by terracotta panels, making the most out of the connection to the surrounding green spaces and waterfront of Wood Wharf.

The cluster apartments form the heart of the building and are located on floors 10 to 32. This typology contains the greatest variety, with lower levels connected to the parks and waters and the higher levels with the sky.

Meanwhile, the Bay apartments on floors 33 to 54 boast double-height terraces set back into the building. The balconies are carved into the cylindrical geometry of One Park Drive, standing out across the building as it appears to spiral upwards.

One Park Drive aims to offer ‘state of the art’ amenities designed by GA Design, split over the ground and first floors. Residents can enjoy an opulent entrance lobby with 24-hour concierge services. There is a library, cinema room and lounge on the ground floor, while the first floor houses an exclusive residents-only health club.

Wood Wharf, the new 23-acre neighbourhood within the Canary Wharf estate, will be home to up to 3,600 new homes, 350,000 sq ft of shops and restaurants, two million sq ft of office space, a new NHS doctor’s surgery and two-form primary school.

Amongst this will sit lively high streets, green public spaces and walkways. Residents will benefit from a year-round programme of arts, music, sport and events – many of which are free.

Earlier this year, Wood Wharf district welcomed its first surge of residents at 10 Park Drive.
