Beginnings of The Trilogy – a new BTR development launches in Manchester

A development of Build to Rent apartments in a regenerated part of Manchester has opened its doors, claiming to offer ‘unrivalled facilities and amenities’.

More than £53 million has been pumped in to create The Trilogy, comprising of 232 pet-friendly one, two and three-bedroom apartments ready to move into in the heart of Castlefield – a rejuvenated inner-city conservation area now full to the brim with waterfront bars, green spaces, restaurants, galleries, canals and striking scenery.

The development, which spans 165,000 square feet, is situated on Ellesmere Street and set across three buildings known as Trilogy North, Trilogy West and Trilogy East – all of which are centred around a landscaped courtyard.

Facilities for residents include a fully equipped gym with Apple TV, a residents’ lounge with co-working space, communal gardens, cycle storage, 75 car parking spaces, and free tea and coffee. In addition, ultrafast fibre optic broadband will be available throughout the development.

The development is also aiming to provide a number of additional ‘lifestyle perks’ to set it apart from similar Build to Rent schemes, including security, a resident services team on hand 24 hours a day, a social calendar of events and a partner programme to open up opportunities for local businesses from personal trainers and beauticians to restaurants and bars.

Every apartment is available furnished or unfurnished and has been ‘spaciously designed to achieve a sleek, contemporary interior filled with light’, with an open-plan layout for that greater feeling of space.

Strong transport links are also nearby, offering easy access to the whole Manchester. Deansgate is three minutes away by tram, Cornbrook Metrolink Station is a mere three minute walk from The Trilogy development and MediaCityUK can be reached in around 12 minutes. Equally, there are regular connections to the city’s main transport hub – Manchester Piccadilly – which is also approximately 12 minutes away.

A growing phenomenon in recent years – especially in major cities such as Manchester and London – Build to Rent aims to offer hassle-free living and a high-quality rental experience with a professional landlord, as well as flexible lease terms and luxury add-ons. Additionally, many of the schemes employ a tech-first approach to ensure the whole process can be completed online.

In the case of The Trilogy, which is being delivered by Moorfield Group and professionally managed by property consultant Allsop, the lettings process will be managed via Allsop’s Virtual Agency, a ‘revolutionary portal’ facilitating virtual tours and allowing prospective residents to book viewings, reserve a property, make payments and sign and complete all documentation.

Beginnings of The Trilogy – a new BTR development launches in Manchester

“The Trilogy is located in Manchester’s most exciting area of regeneration, making it perfectly suited to professionals working in the city, as well as couples, recent graduates and young families looking to settle away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, yet still be within close reach,” Dougie Orton-Wade, general manager at The Trilogy, said.

“Conveniently-connected Castlefield is a gateway to the city with cobbled streets, scenic canals and converted mills reminiscent of the industry that thrived here and the Urban Heritage Park provides green spaces on the doorstep of our development.”

He said The Trilogy prides itself on offering ‘more than just a home’, with facilities both inside and out ‘designed with the resident in mind, to the highest of standards’.

“The Trilogy will be a meeting hub where new connections and friends can be made with fellow residents,” he added.

“We’re confident the location and lifestyle we have on offer will be in popular demand. Show apartments are now open and reservations are being taken, with our first residents having taken occupation. Enquiries can also be made via the website, email or by telephone.”
