First Time Buyer Home Show returns to Stratford

The latest First Time Buyer Home Show will take place at Stratford’s Old Town Hall on Saturday 2 March 2019.

The show, which aims to be a one-stop shop to help first-time buyers purchase their dream home and take their first steps on the property ladder, is returning to Stratford after a successful event last year, when more than 1,000 people attended.  

The free event gives ‘aspirational first-time buyers all the support they need to be able to find out everything they need to know about getting onto the property ladder’, with a host of exhibitors and experts at hand on the day, ready to provide free financial, mortgage and legal advice. In addition, information will be available on government purchasing schemes such as Shared Ownership and Help to Buy.  

“I’m very excited to be bringing the First Time Buyer Home Show back to Stratford this year,” Lynda Clark, managing director of First Time Buyer Group and editor of First Time Buyer magazine, commented.

“The area - and East London as a whole - is just going from strength to strength, which makes it the most ideal location to get onto the property ladder. It’s very much an ‘up and staying’ area!”

She said the show had been designed to meet with the needs of today’s first-time buyer, with a team of helpful experts ready to answer any burning questions.

“All of the necessary information will be available – for free and under one roof – so it really is a useful event to come along to,” she added. “As we get closer to our goal of demystifying the homebuying process and overcoming some of the perceived affordability barriers that exist in London, we can help more first-time buyers take their first step onto the housing ladder.”

Exhibitors at the event will include new-build property firm SiteSales Property Group and representatives from Help to Buy London, as well as Direction Law, StepLadder, Which?, Southern Home Ownership, Leaders Romans Group, Taylor Wimpey, Prince Evans Solicitors LLP, Higgins Homes, So Resi and New Homes Law. There will also be a number of seminars running on the day to provide practical advice for buyers.

“The Home Show is an opportunity for aspiring buyers to receive the support and advice they need to get started on their journey to home ownership,” Clark concluded. “The informal structure of the event takes off the pressure, so that at the end of the day first-time buyers can leave feeling confident and fully equipped with the tools and knowledge to be able to take the next steps towards buying their first home.”
