Whoobid has announced its partnership with Humberts to support its ongoing expansion.

Humbers, an established agent with extensive coverage across the UK, joins a network of 200-plus estate agency branches already partnered with Whoobid, allowing them to offer their clients both the traditional and modern method of online auctions.

With this collaboration, Humberts aims to help modernise the process, making it more appealing to their clients and offering security to buyers and sellers alike.

Sellers will be able to choose from both the traditional auction with instant exchange or the modern method, which opens the auction market up to cash buyers and mortgage buyers as well – securing both with an exclusivity agreement.

This new partnership – which follows the formation of Whoobid’s northern division and Humberts’ expansion plans in auction – will allow Humberts to offer their sellers complete security and 0% commission. It says auctions provide purchasers with 100% transparency, with all information and searches collated into auction packs, allowing bidders to make an informed decision quickly on a purchase.

Alex Haigh, managing director of Whoobid, comments: “Myself and the team here at Whoobid are excited to be working alongside Humberts. Our business models complement each other perfectly and with our infrastructure and auction expertise combined with their local market knowledge we look forward to exponential growth and success over the coming months.”

Tim Simmons, chief executive officer at Humberts, adds: “Humberts views the partnership with Whoobid as a great way to further increase our spectrum of services whilst at the same time staying at the forefront of innovation.”

“The traditional auction room environment is way outside the comfort zone of most of our clients, but this exciting method offers the best of both worlds namely a full and comprehensive marketing programme as well as a brilliant and secure method of securing a completed sale without the trauma of an auction room.”
