Luxury Property Show’s return sees record-breaking ticket sales

The Luxury Property Show returned to Olympia London to present the world’s finest properties from the most sought-after locations.

The show – which ran from October 31 to November 1 – saw over 50 property, investment and luxury lifestyle specialists exhibiting, and offered visitors exclusive seminar content and interactive workshops.

It was redesigned this year following its acquisition by international real estate specialist Smart Group. As a result, the event enjoyed a record-breaking number of ticket sales.

As the only exhibition in Europe dedicated to connecting investors with experts in high-quality property, the show displayed luxury properties from the most attractive locations around the world, including United Arab Emirates, the US, Portugal, Mauritius and France.

Amongst the high-end exhibitors were Sobha Realty, Corcoran, LUXIMOS Christies, Sotheby’s and Beaux Villages.

The event also hosted a series of complimentary lifestyle seminars and workshops to provide expert advice on buying a property at home or abroad, with interactive sessions delivered by specialist real-estate agents, lawyers, IFAs and more.

On day one of the show, Dennis Philips of Buckles Solicitors offered key advice to attendees on planning for overseas investments. He said: “Viewing a property should be last on the agenda when it comes to making an investment abroad.”

“Ensuring due diligence and plenty of research is carried out beforehand should always come first. This will ensure that you, as a buyer, are aware of the whole process, as it can differ greatly depending on which country you are investing in.”

Carl Hasty from Smart Currency Premier advised visitors on avoiding the risks of moving money overseas. He commented: “A development with Brexit, or even Donald Trump making a comment about foreign policy, can have an instant and substantial effect on exchange rates. It’s important that those investing in property overseas factor in this fluctuation when considering how much they have to spend.”

Elsewhere at the show, visitors were able to relax at the VIP lounge, hosted by Sobha Realty, and indulge in exclusive food and wine tastings, including Champagne Piaff Ecuadorian chocolate courtesy of Analu Chocolates. Other activities included GOLFZON’s VIP golf simulator and Pro Racing Simulator’s professional racing experience.

Jana Korpova-Harris, director of The Luxury Property Show, says: “The Luxury Property Show provides the perfect platform for prospective investors and discerning buyers to meet the necessary professionals, not only to help them find their ideal property, but to assist with the entire process involved in making their dream a reality.

“The event demonstrates that buying a second residence isn’t just about real estate, it also encompasses complex tax regimes, currency fluctuations, and, most importantly, lifestyle.”

“The Luxury Property Show has been hugely successful this year and we are excited to continue this momentum into 2020,” she concludes.
