North Oak Homes secures planning for nine luxury homes in idyllic setting

North Oak Homes has won planning permission for nine large luxury homes in a picturesque part of the Forest of Dean.

The Worcester-based residential developer – also the residential arm of the privately-owned property and development group Maximus – will bring the site to the market this month.

The four-acre plot is on Lovers Walk, Gorsley, near Ross-on-Wye, is within half a mile of Junction 3 of the M50.

“This is a low-density site that will appeal to small developers looking for a prestigious project with which to create a signature development,” Harry Breakwell of agents Bruton Knowles in Gloucester says.

“It lies three and a half miles from Newent, 14 from Gloucester and has good links via the nearby M50 to the national motorway network.”

To the rear of the site is Linton Hall, a period country home built in 1988. The homes will also be close to Gorsley Common and half a mile from Ross-on-Wye Golf Club.

John Hickton, managing director of Maximum, comments: “We are pleased to have secured planning permission and will be offering the site on the open market. We work hard to source land opportunities and work with landowners to maximise value and facilitate the entire planning and sales process.”

Launched in 2001, Maximus is a privately-owned property development and investment group which focuses on strategic land, sourcing land opportunities and working with landowners to facilitate the entire planning and sales process.

The company has a current land bank of just under 1,000 acres spread over 12 sites.
