Alexander McQueen’s former villa up for sale in Majorca

The former villa of renowned fashion designer Alexander McQueen is now up for sale for 2.45 million euros.

The property, in Santa Ponsa on the island of Majorca, was owned by McQueen between 2005 and 2010. It offers unobstructed views of Santa Ponsa Bay and the Tramuntana Mountains.

The sale of the villa is being brokered by international real estate agents, Engel & Völkers.

The interior of the property spans approximately 450 square metres and is comprised of five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

With the villa fitted to a luxurious standard and being fully refurbished in 2015, ‘it offers all the luxury comforts of a prestigious second home in a desirable location on the Balearic Islan,’ according to Hans Lenz, managing director of Engel & Völkers Mallorca Southwest.

The villa boasts two large terraces, a swimming pool, a modern fitted kitchen and an underground garage with three parking spaces – all of which are included in the sales price.

The property stands in approximately 900 square metres of grounds and is located just minutes away from the boutiques and restaurants of the superyacht marina, Port Adriano.

It was left behind by British fashion designer Alexander McQueen, who rose to worldwide fame with his unique creations in the late 1990s and 2000s.

With fashion shows that expressed his creativity and unconventional career path, McQueen consistently fascinated the industry and was named “British Designer of the Year” multiple times as one of the “most influential couturiers of his era”. He died in London in 2010.
