Property consultant Bond Wolfe has launched a new property auctions business in the Midlands.

Bond Wolfe Auctions will be based in newly-refurbished offices on Colmore Row, Birmingham, with further offices in West Bromwich and Wolverhampton.

The team will be led by chief executive Gurpreet Bassi and managing director Ian Tudor, who were previously the heads of residential and commercial auctions respectively at the Bigwood auctions business.

Bond Wolfe Auctions will be selling a wide variety of residential, commercial, mixed use properties and land throughout the UK. Its first auction will be held at Villa Park on Wednesday 13 March.

Bassi commented: “We will hold six auctions in our first year and we are looking forward to a strong start in March when we hold our first auction of 2019.”

The team has over 200 years of experience in the property auction sector, complete with an established business network.

“We are going to be a national auctions business, although two of our core areas will be the West and East Midlands regions,” Bassi added.

Prior to this, Bassi and Tudor formed the backbone of the Bigwood auctions business, and the majority of the new Bond Wolfe Auctions team were formerly responsible for delivering the Midlands largest ever auction in May 2018, which saw 172 lots go under the hammer.

In March 2018, Bassi was named Young Business Professional of the Year in The Signature Awards, which showcased executives who are helping to drive the regional business agenda forward.

He was also shortlisted for Birmingham Young Professional of The Year in the Property and Construction category. What’s more, in November, he and his colleagues were part of the team that was named Company of The Year in The Birmingham Post Awards.

Tudor said: “With our ‘traditional values, modern solutions’ approach, we are delighted to be able to offer our clients – old and new – highly professional, focused and bespoke auction advice whatever their asset.”

He added that while auctions have traditionally been seen as the preserve of largely residential property, the team have witnessed commercial property become more prominent in the auction room.

“I am looking forward to helping businesses, corporate, public sector and private clients make the most of their real estate interests,” he continued.

“We are confident that offering such a diverse range of properties both locally and nationally from such a central and accessible location will have a real appeal to both vendors and purchasers.”

Bond Wolfe Auctions plans to have 15 members of staff by the end of March 2019.
