Auction House London set to witness record-breaking sale

A record breaking number of lots are being sold in the capital next week, as 152 properties go under the hammer in Auction House London’s latest sale.

The lots – the highest number of entries in the history of Auction House London – go up for sale on Wednesday 12 September 2018.

One of the highlights of the sale is a two bedroom, first floor apartment close to the shops and restaurants of increasingly trendy Marylebone – which in recent years has become one of Prime Central London’s most desirable areas. The 48 year long lease is now down to its last seven years, a fact which is reflected in the price, with bidding starting at just £150,000.

In Harlesden, meanwhile, a property that could represent a canny investment option is a three bedroom mid-terrace house in Tubbs Road. It requires complete renovation and structural repairs after it was damaged in a fire, but the Victorian property still has a guide price of £275,000.

“We’re delighted that so many people have chosen to sell their property through us this time around,” Andrew Binstock, director and auctioneer at Auction House London, said. “We’ve had good sales results the last couple of auctions in an extremely tough market.”

The lots sold by Auction House so far this year across the UK have increased by 7.3% on the same period in 2017.

“It’s proving hard for sellers in 2018 but ahead of the winter could be the best time to sell while properties look at their best,” Binstock added.

Auction House London’s next sale will be on Wednesday 12 September 2018 at the London Marriott Regents Park, 128 King Henry’s Road, NW3 3ST at 12 noon.
