Nuneaton chippy goes under the hammer at Loveitts auction

A popular Nuneaton chippy is one of the lots being sold by Loveitts at its next auction in Coventry.

Hungry investors will have the chance to bid on Wale’s Fish Shop, which is just a stone’s throw from Nuneaton’s bus station and railway stations.

The building also houses a restaurant space on the first floor, offering a second business opportunity for potential buyers.

Loveitts believe that with a guide price of between £200,000 and £220,000, the freehold building will prove incredibly popular among bidders and attract a great deal of interest.

Sally Smith, director and auctioneer at Loveitts, said: “Wale’s Fish Shop was incredibly popular with generations of people in the town and it can be again.”

“This is a unique opportunity for a buyer to purchase a business which already has a good reputation in the town and possibly even develop it further. We are expecting a great deal of interest in this business as there is much scope to make it a huge success.”

Ideally positioned on the edge of a busy town centre and sitting opposite the Ginger Tree Restaurant, the building is approximately 2,835 square ft and is within easy access to the A5, A444 and A47.

The chippy will go under the hammer at Loveitts’ next auction on May 17, taking place at the Village Urban Resort Hotel in Dolomite Avenue at 6.30pm.

A Grade II listed farmhouse in Coventry’s Tile Hill, a three-bedroomed end terraced property near Warwick University and a plot of land in Leamington’s Nursey Lane are some of the other lots featured in the auction.
