SDL Auctions Graham Penny reflects on successful 2017

Ahead of its first auction of 2018, SDL Auctions Graham Penny has taken time to reflect on its success in 2017.

Having held seven auctions in Nottingham last year, SDL Auctions Graham Penny accumulated more than £19 million worth of property sold in 2017 – a result of fierce bidding and bustling auction rooms.

The SDL team is now eager to assemble more lots for each of the seven Nottingham auctions taking place this year, and is keen to hear from potential vendors who wish to sell their property for good prices.

Vejay Pal, senior valuer at SDL Auctions Graham Penny, described the Nottingham auctions as a ‘great success’ with a growth in popularity amongst hopeful buyers and sellers seeking an easy yet secure way to sell.

He continued: “Any properties which sell in the auction room will exchange contracts immediately and completion usually takes place only three weeks later, meaning the whole process only takes around six weeks from instruction.”

This year, SDL Auctions Graham Penny will hold its first auction at the Nottingham Racecourse on January 31. The remaining auctions will take place in March, May, June, September, October and December.

A pair of tenanted flats in the same block – each bringing in rental incomes of more than £5,000 a year – are among the properties already entered into the first 2018 auction.

Located on High Street in Mansfield Woodhouse, the ground floor flat at 1 Gardiner Court is currently let for £475 per calendar month, while 3 Gardiner Court on the first floor is rented at £425 a month – each lot has a guide price of over £60,000.

Meanwhile, a two/three bedroomed, three-storey terraced house at 12 Vale Drive in Shirebrook, Mansfield (in need of renovation) with a guide price of £45,000+ and a three bedroomed, three-storey terraced house at 112 Broxtow Drive in Mansfield with a guide price of £50,000+ are other investment properties included in the Nottingham auction catalogue.

“We have thousands of buyers on our database and hundreds of buyers in our auction rooms who want to buy your property,” Pal added.
