Canary Wharf Group’s landmark residential development, One Park Drive, has successfully sold out of its largest available apartments.

Boasting modern open-plan living spaces and wraparound terraces, the three-bedroom “Loft” apartments have been snapped up by buyers who are eager for larger city homes.

One Park Drive, which will house 483 apartments, offers city and riverside living, with views of the surrounding docklands and wider London. Remaining apartments are available to purchase, with studios starting from £665,000.

“With the majority of new build schemes, the smaller units are the first to go, yet at One Park Drive, the opposite is true,” Brian De’ath, director of residential sales at Canary Wharf Group, said.

He explained that the demand for larger apartments is a testament to the ‘unparalleled architecture and interior design’ as well as the extensive facilities, open spaces and diverse events programme of the wider Canary Wharf estate.

Designed by Swiss practice Herzog & de Meuron, One Park Drive is divided into three distinct typologies: Loft, Cluster and Bay. The Loft apartments are some of the largest properties available, featuring interiors by Bowler James Brindley.

Situated on floors two to nine, Lofts offer wraparound terraces framed by terracotta panels, and are designed to connect seamlessly with the surrounding green spaces and waterfront. These apartments also feature contemporary, free-flowing spaces, complete with sliding walls, resin floor and mother of pearl clad bathrooms.

The Cluster apartments, meanwhile, form the heart of the building. With interiors by Goddard Littlefair, this typology contains variety, with the lower levels connected to the parks and water.

The top floors consist of the Bay properties, which all boast double-height terraces set back into the building. These apartments also feature interiors by Goddard Littlefair, with refined palettes and cool textures, including concrete walls, pivot doors, timber panelling and natural stone.

The development will also offer amenities split over the ground and first floors, designed by GA Design. Residents will benefit from 24-hour concierge services, a library, cinema room and lounge on the ground floor, while an exclusive residents-only health club will be located on the first floor. This space, framed by floor-to-ceiling glazing, will include a 20-metre pool, studio space and spa, overlooking the surrounding parks, garden and water.

Brian De’ath added: “We have now sold over 60% of apartments at One Park Drive and the larger units have formed a significant proportion of that. The new Wood Wharf neighbourhood will be a place where individuals and families can live, work, relax and play and it is great to see buyers invest in that community.”

The new Wood Wharf district will be filled with up to 3,600 new homes, 380,000 sq ft. of retail space, eight acres of public spaces, plazas and parks, with One Park Drive as the centrepiece. Lively highstreets, boutique shopping arcades, a vast collection of public art, a doctor’s surgery and a brand new two-form primary school will also sit close by.
