One of the biggest landlord exhibitions returns to Bristol on June 13.

Taking place at the University of the West of England, the Landlord Expo will feature over 90 exhibitors ranging from tax advisers, financial experts, letting agents, solicitors, tradespeople and suppliers.

It also boasts a packed programme of seminars during the day, all of which are free to attend and don’t require pre-booking. There will be information on tax issues for landlords, landlord options, property investment advice and an update about extended mandatory licensing.

The aim of the event – which is being held in the university’s Exhibition and Conference Centre – is to improve the private rented sector by sharing information and best practice methods with landlords, letting agents, prospective landlords and managers.

Anyone who is already a landlord or letting agent, or who is considering entering the private rental market, is welcome to attend.

Councillor Paul Smith, cabinet member for housing at Bristol’s Labour-run council, commented: “This event will outline what is expected of landlords but also provide them with practical advice and support to help them meet the expectations.”

“We want to work with landlords to make sure that all their properties meet the standards we expect in the city and we hope that this event helps both landlords and tenants to get the best out of their property.”

He added: “If we can all work together we can continue to improve housing conditions across the city.”

The event is paid for by event sponsors and exhibitors, and is organised by the four West of England Local Authorities; South Gloucestershire, Bristol, North Somerset and Bath & North East Somerset.

Entry is free, while the event also offers free parking and free refreshments. It takes place on Wednesday 13 June between 11am and 6pm.
