An exclusive new development in the family-friendly resort of Les Houches is being launched by French property developer MGM French Properties.

Chalet Délys, the development comprised of 10 luxurious apartments, is available for outright purchase. Each unit comes with extensive outdoor space, underground parking and a ski locker, and is only a short walk to the slopes and the varied pistes of the Charmonix valley. Prices for the limited apartments start at €340,000 for a four-bedroom home.

Located just 200 metres from the Prarion Gondola – and within easy distance of the Bellevue ski lift – the development offers well-sized apartments with floorplates ranging from 60 sq m to 118 sq m. The outright purchase homes come unfurnished but with a fully-fitted kitchen and bathroom, allowing the purchaser to personalise and decorate as they see fit. The large private balcony or terrace (which comes with each home) will boast views of the Mont-Blanc mountain range.

As with all MGM developments, Chalet Délys has been designed with the highest quality materials, such as stone, copper, timber and slate roof tiles, combining to create the charm and authenticity of a rustic mountain chalet. Each layout has been configured for maximum space and comfort.

Richard Deans, sales manager at MGM French Properties, commented: “Outright purchase homes are rarely available in Les Houches, which is a firm favourite with families. It also makes a fantastic base and quieter option for those who are fans of central Chamonix.”

An 80-minute drive from Geneva Airport, Les Houches offers panoramic views of the Charmonix valley, located just six kilometres from the skiing capital and comprising traditional mountain hamlets and a relaxed community atmosphere.

The valley is a 15-minute ride via train and shuttle bus, making it perfect for exploring other areas. Multi-zone ski passes are available which cover both resorts, with some giving access to sections of the Mont Blanc in Italy and Switzerland.

Stretching across 55 kilometres of marked ski runs (varying from 950 to 1900 metres in altitude), the Les Houches resort offers several areas for beginners to learn to ski in a safe environment, while more advanced skiers can enjoy the various downhill pistes. There are 10 kilometres of cross-country pistes available. Additionally, Les Houches plays host to international contests, including the Alpine Ski World Cup and the Telemark World Cup.

Deans added: “The relaxed atmosphere of Les Houches makes it a great authentic setting for a second home. I expect this development to be very popular as it offers good value for the Chamonix valley, and quick access to the slopes.”
