England rugby star touches down with investment crowdfunder

Things are looking up for England and Harlequins rugby union star Chris Robshaw after he followed up his first return to rugby action in 12 weeks without any reaction to the shoulder injury that forced him to miss the entire Six Nations Championship by agreeing a new deal to become the strategic land investment specialist Intro Crowd’s new brand ambassador.

Robshaw, who is interested in housing provision and property development, will feature in marketing and promotional material for the firm and support business events.

Intro Crowd offers the only crowdfunding platform that combines land development projects with the chance for all types of investors to buy a share in them, often at attractive entry levels.

Robshaw said: “I am really pleased to be working with Intro Crowd. They are passionate about finding the right sites for the right developments, sensitive to the surrounding environment, and I fully support that.

“It is also a new and innovative way for multiple investors to engage with a new and much needed opportunity for land development, which could potentially help to ease some of the pressures of the UK’s chronic housing shortage.”

Intro Crowd utilise their specialist knowledge to seek out sites adjacent to towns experiencing a high growth population. These offer potential for good returns, through the granting of planning permission and subsequent sale.

Gregory Baker, Intro Crowd founder and CEO, commented: “We are extremely excited to have Chris on board, to help explain the benefits of our investment offering.

“Crowdfunding for residential property has proved extremely popular, but ours is the first platform to give individual investors a way of investing in strategic land.”
