December will see SDL Auctions offer a bumper 343 lots across five auctions as the network’s busiest year to date draws to an end.

December will also see the highest number of lots SDL Auctions has ever had up for sale in a single month.

The auctions are taking place throughout December in Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham, Chester and Derby.

“December is traditionally one of the quieter months as we all take stock and prepare for the New Year – but not this year,” Andrew Parker, managing director and auctioneer at SDL Auctions, said. “We are offering over 50 lots in Manchester in what is only our fourth auction in the North West, and Birmingham’s catalogue has hit an all-time record of 170 lots.”

He added: “With so much interest in our December auctions, it’s hard to predict a final figure at this stage, but we know we are already on track for a sensational year, and it may well be a record-breaking one in terms of total sale prices achieved.”

The December auctions kicked off at Nottingham Racecourse on Thursday 7 December, before heading to the AJ Bell Stadium in Manchester on Tuesday 12 December. The next two auctions are taking place tomorrow (Thursday December 14) at Chester Racecourse and Aston Villa in Birmingham.

The final auction will take place at Pride Park Stadium, Derby this Friday (December 15).
