SDL Auctions will present the rare chance to buy a pair of period, stone-built cottages at the next Graham Penny auction in Nottingham at the end of October.

Located at 30-30A Church Street, the semi-detached cottages will be offered as one lot, and are within close range of the centre of Market Warsop. They have a guide price of £90,000+.

With six bedrooms in number 30 and three in 30A, the lot has a total of nine bedrooms, along with a rear garden that could be transformed into parking, subject to planning permission.

“This is a unique opportunity to purchase a pair of historical cottages, and we are expecting some strong competition for them,” Vejay Pal, senior valuer at SDL Auctions Graham Penny, commented.

“These two properties were originally three terraced cottages and could therefore be reconverted, which makes them an even more attracted lot.”

A mid-terraced house divided into two apartments – one with two bedrooms and the other with one bedroom – has a guide price of £95,000+ and will also appear at the auction. The lot is located at 20 Maples Street in Forest Fields and is currently producing £10,296 of rent each year.

Pal described the apartments as an ‘excellent investment opportunity’. He added: “With a current return of nearly 11%, based on the guide price, this should raise the interest of potential purchasers.”

Other interesting properties for the sale in the Nottingham auction include:

·         An end-of-terrace, two bedroomed house at 1 Prospect Street in Mansfield with a £42,000+ guide price.

·         A semi-detached, three bedroomed house at 11 Chaworth Street in Blidworth with a £54,000+ guide price.

·         A detached, four bedroomed house at 8 Hawkshead Close in West Bridgford with a £260,000+ guide price.

The auction will be held in Nottingham Racecourse from 11:30am on October 20 consisting of 35 lots. The full auction catalogue can be found here.
