More than 20 properties across Coventry and Warwickshire will go under the hammer this evening – representing the highest number of lots offered by Loveitts in February since 2009.

Among the lots on offer at the auction are three lay-bys, land which previously housed a Coventry pub, a house next to the racecourse in Stratford with full view of the course from the decking in the back garden, and what could prove to be the cheapest home in Nuneaton; a house on Windsor Street with a guide price of between £40,000 and £60,000.

Experts at Loveitts in Coventry believe that this latest auction demonstrates an awareness of the benefits of auctions to both buyers and sellers across the region.

Sally Smith, associate director and auctioneer at Loveitts, said: “This is a fantastic result for February. With a total of 22 lots going under the hammer, this auction has the biggest line-up of properties since 2009.

“We are seeing a growing trend of vendors moving away from the more traditional routes of buying and selling properties and opting, instead, for auctions where they have the opportunity to get more for their money.”

The auction, which takes place at the Village Hotel, Dolomite Way, Canley Coventry, is set to start at 6.30pm.

Today’s auction follows Loveitts largest property auction in its 173-year history which took place in December and raised an impressive £4.2m, on the back of an 83% sales success.

Smith added: “The property market across Coventry and Warwickshire is very buoyant and for Loveitts, this is an exciting and busy time.

“We are very excited for this month’s auction and we are confident that the results on the night will not disappoint. We are expecting another big crowd as there are a lot of incredible opportunities for buyers and some really unusual lots up for grabs.”
