Overseas Property Show to take place in the capital next month

The Overseas Property Show – which aims to provide investors with practical steps and considerations involved in purchasing property abroad – will be held in London next month.

The event is set to take place at the Novotel London West Hotel and Convention Centre in Hammersmith for three days from Saturday September 10 to Monday September 12, running between 10am and 6pm each day.

The show's organisers say it does not romanticise the ideal of second home ownership and that it has forged a 'strong reputation' for connecting attendees with the reality of owning a home overseas.

Entry is free and the 2016 version of the show will focus largely on properties in Portugal, Spain and Florida, with inclusion of some opportunities in Cyprus and Italy.

A regular exhibitor, Chris White, founding director of boutique estate agency Ideal Homes Portugal, says that the Overseas Property Show offers all the information in one place for prospective investors.

"We're on hand to talk through living abroad, so whether attendees have questions about how much Portuguese they'll need to speak to live in the Algarve or the price of eggs in Spain, we can give them the information they need," he says.

But investors will also be able to discuss more complex issues, according to White.

"Our experts are also on hand to answer the big questions, like how the purchase process works, where to find a good lawyer, how to obtain a fiscal number and so forth," he says.

The Overseas Property Show held ten events in 2015, welcoming thousands of visitors from all over the country.
