Property Partner has appointed Mark Weedon as its new Head of Institutional Development. 

The crowdfunding platform announced that Weedon, an experienced figure within the industry, will be joining the company from MSCI, where his role included responsiblity for the IPD Residential Index. The index is the industry standard measure of performance for large scale professionally managed residential investment.

In his new position, Weedon will be tasked with building relationships with the professional investment community and developing new products for the platform. 

Weedon said of his new role: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Property Partner team at this time. Property Partner is using innovation and technology to redefine the market, removing barriers to entry and enabling every category of investor to access institutional-grade properties.”

Dan Gandesha, CEO of Property Partner, also commented on the new appointment: “We’ve created this role in response to the growing desire among traditional institutions to work with the new breed of tech-driven investment platforms.”

“We’re delighted to welcome Mark to the team. Through his IPD research, he brings a deep understanding of property as an asset class, and a wealth of experience and contacts at all levels of the industry.”
