The Regenda Group, one of the North West’s leading housing firms, is heading back to its Liverpool roots with a major property investment drive. It plans to create jobs and invest millions of pounds in new developments across Liverpool city centre.
Regenda, which is moving its head office back to Liverpool after a decade away, has an excellent reputation for converting the city’s greatest historic buildings into high-quality homes. It now aims to shell out around £20 million on new housing developments over the next three years, with a focus on contemporary and innovative city-centre living. Most of the properties will be private rented or shared ownership homes.
The Group, once known as the Maritime Housing Association, has been around for more than fifty years and also has offices in St Helens, Oldham, Macclesfield and Fleetwood. It employs approximately 500 staff, with up to 50 more jobs expected to be created with the move back to Liverpool from Bolton.
“We are proud of our historic links with Liverpool and the time is right for us to move back to a city that is buzzing with excitement and opportunity,” Michael Birkett, Group Chief Executive, said.
“There is so much happening, lots of impressive development and regeneration that we want to be part of. Although we have always maintained a presence in the city, it is time to raise our profile, build on our reputation and deliver some high quality housing which is in keeping with Liverpool’s aspirations.”
