Derelict site in West London to undergo transformation

A disused site in Hayes, West London is set to be redeveloped, attracting new jobs and companies to the borough.

Prologis, the UK’s leading developer of industrial real estate, will construct its first small-unit scheme in the UK at Prologis Dawley Road. This will deliver a total of 120,420sq-ft in six buildings, ranging in size from 2,870sq-ft to 52,540sq-ft.

“Prologis Dawley Road is a well-located site in an established industrial area and the new scheme is already attracting interest from expanding local companies as well as from national and international organisations,” Paul Weston, senior vice president at Prologis UK, commented.

“The site has been derelict for around 10 years, so we are delighted to have the opportunity to bring it back into use and to attract new jobs for Hillingdon.”

After the success of Prologis Park Heathrow, located on Stockley Road in Hayes, the development at Dawley Road is aiming for something similar.

Adelie Foods and Gate Gourmet, which already occupies a 69,000sq-ft building on the park and is expanding its operations in Hayes, have relocated there.

Prologis has also submitted a planning application to create a further two units in Hayes, based at Prologis Park West London (previously Stockley Park Phase 3.
