Hounslow Borough Council has granted planning permission to Prime Place and Brentford Football Club to deliver a new 20,000 capacity football stadium, together with 648 new homes, in the town.
A ten acre site on Lionel Road South, close to Kew Bridge, will be home to the new ground and seven new residential buildings. These will include 304 properties for private sale and 344 for private rental.
The homes, branded under the umbrella of Prime Place, Kew Bridge, will be a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Facilities will include a concierge service, private lounge/library and dining room, cinema, gym, and private landscaped gardens.
New pedestrian and cycle routes will be introduced, including dedicated and widened routes along Lionel Road South. In addition, extensive landscaping and greenery projects will be rolled out across the site and retail outlets and on-site car and cycle parking will be other major improvements to the public realm.
Brentford FC, whose home ground has been Griffin Park since 1904, will relocate to their new stadium once it has been completed. Prime Place, the private residential arm of property and construction company Willmott Dixon, has already been granted full planning permission to develop a further 75 two, three, four, and five-bedroom family houses for private sale. It will also include a memorial garden to celebrate the history of the football ground.
