Former BBC site named ‘Circle Square’

A former BBC site, located in Corridor Manchester, has been named the contradictory ‘Circle Square’, and is set to be a top global innovation district.

This week, talks will be held to discuss the development of the site, which will form one of Manchester’s largest planning applications to date when filed in January 2016.

With over one million square foot of residential, commercial and public space to play with, if approved, it will be a £360 million operation set to create over 2,000 new jobs for the city.

Central to the cite will be two collaborative spaces; The Green, and a 20,000 square foot pavilion, providing opportunities for a variety of staged and pop-up events.   

An 82,000 square foot retail destination is also set to be created, designed to attract retail and leisure operators to the area.
