An online property investment portal has launched this month, allowing investors to get involved for as little as £100.

Elevate Invest says its mission is to make residential property ‘tradeable’ online in the same way that listed companies are.

The site says it offers investors three ways to make a return: short-term trading of equity stakes in properties, long-term capital growth by holding onto equity investments and secured interest income by contributing to mortgages.

Investors using the site can place or sell orders at any time at a price of their choice, the site says.

It also claims that before any property features on the Elevate Invest marketplace it will undergo a RICS survey.

The site wants to collaborate with property developers and landlords, and offers the opportunity to appeal for crowd finance as well as exiting and reinvesting in other properties on the site’s resale market.

There are currently four properties listed on the website’s marketplace.

Elevate was co-founded by Paul Toon, a former venture capitalist specialising in technology investments across Europe and North America.

“We have launched Elevate to make property across the UK far more accessible to investors and home buyers, and far more liquid for home owners and landlords,” says Toon.

“Our technology enables investment in attractive opportunities through a simple online interface, with the ability to build property portfolios quickly and easily for only a small amount of capital. We’re also making it a lot more straightforward to release funds tied up in property both for investors and home owners.”

Elevate Invest is the latest in a line of similar websites to offer crowdfunding and property investment options for the residential industry.

We have previously reported on Pring, Buy2Let.com and Property Partner, which announced this week that it is launching its first TV advertising campaign.

The Elevate Invest website is here.
