The Grade II listed Risley Hall Hotel in Derbyshire has been sold by Flodrive Properties Ltd to Talash Hotels from a guide price of £1.45 million.

The three storey building, which dates back to the 16th century and provides 35 bedrooms, also includes a restaurant, two bars, spa facilities and large landscaped gardens. 16 of the bedrooms are situated in the main building, with a further 19 in the adjoining Willoughgby Court.

The affectionately restored baronial hall – originally constructed in the 1700s and a fine example of traditional Georgian architecture – is ideal for weddings and conferences.

Situated in the picturesque village of Risley, the hotel is close to Nottingham and Derby as well as major tourist attractions such as Alton Towers, Donington Park Race Circuit and Bolsover Castle.

“Risley Hall is an established business in a tourist hot spot which provides the new owner with significant potential for long-term income thanks to the range of facilities on offer,” Tom Cunningham, hotels director at Savills, who represented Flodrive throughout the sale, commented. “We are very pleased with the strong sale price achieved.”
