Who are you and what does it say on your business card?
Amy Gibson, General Manager.
How has your company had to adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic?
Initially the main challenge for us was making sure everyone was as comfortable as possible working from home, this was something we had not experienced before. We were very fortunate to be in an already strong position IT wise but there were lots of other things for us to consider. We are an extremely close knit team and generally bounce off one, striving towards weekly team targets. We worked hard to ensure that we still kept that team vibe despite not being under the same roof. Once restrictions started to lift the main focus shifted to health and safety. The pretty much had to rewrite our processes and procedures from start to finish to ensure that our staff, tenants, applicants and clients were kept safe at all times.
What are your predictions for the Newcastle sales and lettings market in 2022?
Whilst the lettings market will continue to remain strong, I think we will see a drop in sales demand.

What is your greatest achievement in your current role and what made it so special?
Maximizing on cross pollination between different departments. By working incredibly closely with all managers and their departments we can always ensure that the services we provide are the full package for our clients.
What is the most satisfying part of your job?
Continuously reviewing staff training, both internally and externally. We particularly like to complete training with Property Mark and The Able Agent. Also being able to consider and offer frequent progression and promotions to our current employees when opportunities arise.
Is a city-centre office still important in these post-pandemic times?
In my opinion yes. There will always be footfall, particularly for us from the universities and we want to be able to continue to catch that. Lots of our processes and procedures have been updated due to Covid which makes the customer experience more comfortable remotely, but there will always be the need for drop ins.
