Alan Boswell Group’s Steve Cox tells us a bit more about himself, and why the company’s landlord insurance is market-leading.

Tell us a bit about you and your career.

I started working for the company when I left school, back in 1991! I’ve worked in a variety of departments, from claims and personal lines to commercial, so I have a broad understanding of people’s insurance needs. Since 2001, I’ve been with the Property Owners team and I specialise in arranging insurance for portfolio landlords (those with a large number of properties), ensuring they have the right cover.

I love providing the property owners with the peace of mind that comes with having the right insurance.

What’s the biggest challenge facing the property industry at the moment?

We’re certainly hearing concerns about changes to taxation and legislation, which make it harder for landlords to manage their outgoings.
