First-time buyers in Bow received a much-needed boost at the beginning of this month when a leading affordable housing provider launched a selection of reasonably priced homes.

33 new homes were launched by Centra Homes, part of Circle Housing, with prices beginning at £230,000.

Bow is situated in Tower Hamlets, one of London’s fastest growing boroughs, and has undergone significant regeneration in recent years. It is also less than a mile from the Olympic Park in Stratford.

Prices in thriving Tower Hamlets have risen faster than in any other London borough, according to a recent survey. Property portal Rightmove said prices in the area surged from £433,000 in May 2013 to £620,000 in May 2014, an increase of 43%.

The 33 homes are located in Tredegar Place and are principally aimed at young families and first-time buyers. It has a mix of studios and one, two and three bedroom homes. They are sold as featuring bright open plan interiors with large windows and a high specification fully fitted kitchen with integrated appliances.

The development is well-connected to some of London’s best known hotspots, including Westfield Stratford and The City, and is nearby to Mile End and Bow Road underground stations as well as Bow Church station on the DLR.

A stone's throw away is Roman Road market, home to an eclectic mix of food, clothing, home and garden stalls as well as boutique cafes, bars and restaurants. It’s also not far from the wide open spaces of Victoria Park, which hosts several concerts and festivals throughout the year.

The development, due to be finished by the end of 2014, is within touching distance of Centra Homes popular Essence development. Essence is now almost completely sold out, with the majority of homes already snapped up.
